Dr. Isabela del Alcázar is a science-driven innovation and sustainability leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning industrial transformation, and institutional leadership.
With a distinguished academic background including a PhD in Molecular Biology, and a Master’s in Biotechnology Management, Isabela currently serves as Chief Purpose and Sustainability Officer at IE University, where she leads large-scale transformation initiatives embedding forward-looking sustainability, technological innovation, and operational resilience across a global academic institution of more than 10,000 students from over 160 nationalities.
Earlier in her career, Isabela was an entrepreneur in biotechnology and invested in pioneering healthcare projects combining scientific rigor, entrepreneurial execution, and scalable innovation models.
Beyond her institutional role, she contributes to the broader industrial and climate ecosystem, including the creation of Alinnea, a platform convening policymakers, industry leaders, and academics to accelerate resilient industrial transition and long-term competitiveness.
As Amura’s Impact Chair, she supports the integration of science-based innovation, operational resilience, and forward-looking sustainability into the portfolio value creation.
